Fungal rashes result by the overgrowth of various germs that causes fungal infections. It is a very common disease and people often suffer from fungal rashes Although fungal skin rashes are not the contagious one, neither it is a serious disease but sometimes deep infections can create serious problems and lead to other skin disorders if taken carelessly.

One can find similar symptoms to different types of fungal rashes and sometimes it is really difficult to diagnose the exact disease. Some of the related types of fungal diseases are Jock itch (tinea cruris), Tinea versicolor (also known as pityriasis versicolor), Athlete\'s Foot and Ringworm. Jock itch is a form of ringworm but has no relation with worms. It is a type of fungal infection which normally affects the outer layers of the skin mainly in the groins and on the buttocks and brings redness, itches and inflammation.

 Tinea Versicolor is also a type of fungal rashes which affects the oily parts of the body, the back and on the chest. It appears as brownish, flat and brings scaly rashes. Ringworm is also a fungal infection which brings redness with a blister look and spreads with a ring like pattern. This disease is mostly found among children. Athlet\'s foot is also a type of fungal infection which affects the foot and brings itches, redness and inflammation.

All these fungal diseases bring discomfort, rashes, itches, burning sensations and patches which always irritate the patient.

Symptoms of fungal rashes : -
Since there are many fungal diseases and every infection have its different affecting areas. So, the symptoms of every fungal rashes and infection are different and depend upon the infected part of the body. Some are itchy, some are scaly and some bring burning sensations. Some fungal rashes are so scaly and if affects the scalp, can result in great amount of hair loss. These rashes should not be confused with other deadly skin infections like psoriasis, eczema etc.

Fungal rashes are generally fiery red in color and can be spread across the larger area with more intense color at the center without any distinct border. It mostly affects the sensitive parts of our body.

Treatment of fungal rashes : -
Antifungal treatments are generally done on the infected area. Topical treatments and anti-fungal tablets are also commonly available at every medical store. Usually the treatments of the fungal rashes depend on the types of infections or skin disorders. Many tablets, drugs and antifungal creams are available which can be used, depends on the type of skin disorder. A thin layer of antifungal cream when applied on the infected area can be absorbed by the skin and cures the disorder. Antifungal powder is also available for the same. But can be applied only on the moist skin of the infected area.
