Did you know that you don\'t have to be an athlete to get athlete\'s feet? You can be a normal person that likes to go to the gym or the pool. This is a germ that spreads by any kind of contact with the human foot. If this gets really bad it can make your feet feel like they are on fire. The sign of having athlete\'s feet is a burning feeling on your foot. Your foot will start to itch, crack, and peel.
If a person has athlete\'s foot and would walk on your carpet with bare feet, he would leave you his foot germs and you could get it. The best place to get this foot germ is at any foot spa, gym, or the pool. A foot spa is the least likely place to get this germ, but it can happen. When the foot spas first started to appear in the market place, they didn\'t have a lot of rules about how clean their machines had to be kept. When these same people started having severe problems with their feet, they found out that it came from the foot spas that they were going to, to relax their feet and legs.
Now with all the laws involving these spas there aren\'t very many cases of this there. There are, however, still a lot of problems concerning the pools and gyms. These places are very hard to keep germ-free because there are a lot of different people with different stages of this foot problem, and some of them don\'t even know what this problem is or how to take care of it.
Once you find out that you might have it, there are many different types of medicine that you can buy over the counter at any health store or almost any store. Two most important things that you need to remember are to keep your feet clean and change your socks at least twice a day. Any time you change your clothes take off your socks, wash your feet, and put on clean socks. Never put your dirty socks on clean feet. You are only asking for trouble if you do the last thing I mentioned.
If you really want to keep from getting this germ, buy yourself a pair of water shoes. Leave these shoes on your feet at all times when you are walking on the pool\'s floors, even while you are in the water. If you can\'t get rid of this problem you might be better off going to your doctor.
